On this Throwback Thursday, I’m remembering catching this catfish. It was a summer afternoon with my little family of three. We were visiting my parents (Nana and Papa) when they lived in McComb, MS. I think I was the only one to catch anything that day, and my expression tells you just how proud I was of that accomplishment. As far as the catfish goes, we either released him to live another day, or Nana fried him for supper. I can’t recall which.
In other news, I had a drop-off appointment at my consignment store this afternoon. I sold 31 items in April, which is one more item than April has days, so my little hobby is rolling right along. After my drop-off, I decided to do a little thrifting. It was very successful, and I came home happy and hungry.
I’m about to go eat dinner at the twin’s house. Normally, I prepare dinner for her crew on Thursdays, but she’s cooking today, and I’m bringing dessert—a homemade Coconut Cream Cheese Pound Cake. I’ve not baked it before, but if the dough on the beaters is any indication, it’s gonna be downright delicious, y’all. Till next time, keep smiling, keep loving, and keep believing in your happy ending.
