Friday Musings

Last evening the twin and I enjoyed dinner at a favorite spot, Tommy Bahama’s, where we dined al fresco. We didn’t know it was “concert in the park” night. Thankfully, the singer and the band were genuinely impressive. They mainly performed original material, so we couldn’t sing along, but we did sway a little bit while savoring our delectable entrées.
Afterwards, we sat for a spell, enjoying the music and the gentle breeze. While attempting to take a selfie, a kind lady approached and asked if we’d like her to take our picture. We hesitated but ultimately said OK. She thought we looked “adorable,” so how could we say no to such flattery?
And now it’s Friday. When I was a working woman, Fridays made me very happy, especially Friday evenings after 5 o’clock. Nowadays, every evening is Friday evening. What can I say? Retirement is a dream.
I hope your Friday afternoon is off to a fabulous start, dear friend. If you’re on the clock, you’ve just got a few more hours left. If you’re retired, get out, find something beautiful, and snap a picture. I think that’s what I’ll do.
Later, y’all.
