I hope your Sunday has been a good day filled with good things. Mine has been loaded with blessings.
For at least six months, I’ve been working on a memory book for Elaine to celebrate her life and honor the memories she and I shared. This particular book would only hold 100 pages, but if I'd had the room, I could've had at least 200 pages.
The morning Elaine passed away, all of our social media accounts (mine, Dayle’s, Shelaine’s and Mother’s) were filled with messages of condolences and love for Elaine. So many of you told how Elaine had made an impact on you and on your family in personal ways. I was so moved by your words, and I knew I wanted to memorialize them for myself and future generations. This book was the perfect place to do that, and it was a true labor of love. To those of you who shared a personal experience with my beloved sister, thank you. Your words made the book extra special.
I miss Elaine every single day, and I had to stop and weep countless times while putting this book together. She was the most honorable person I’ve ever known, and I’m grateful for the many memories she and I made together. Until next time, dear friends, may you have a restful night, and may we all live to see another sunrise.
