God Listens

Before I started work this morning, I looked at the pictures on my office wall and said prayers for the people I love. Each person has burdens, struggles and needs unique to themselves. I studied the faces of my grandchildren, my great nieces and my nephew, and I mourned the fact that wickedness is coming after them, seeking to destroy their innocence, pervert their minds, and claim their souls. It's heartbreaking at best. I wish I could walk with them in this sinful world of trouble, but I can't.

What I can do is walk boldly into the throne room of God and ask him to walk with them, watch over them and deliver them from evil. Indeed, it's the greatest gift I can give, and all it costs is my time. I trust your Monday has been good, and I trust you never cease praying for those you love. God really does listen.
"For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil," 1 Peter 3:12 (KJV).
