Blessed Are Those Who Haven't Seen Yet Believe

So many times in my Christian journey, I have wanted so badly for God to manifest himself in the flesh and sit and talk with me so I could hear his voice. Tonight has been one of those nights, but I was reminded of the story of Thomas.
After Jesus rose from the dead, Thomas told the other disciples he wouldn't believe until he saw Jesus with his own eyes. He did see him, of course, and afterwards, Jesus said, "Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."
Truth is, God won't ever walk into my home in the flesh, and I may never audibly hear his voice on this earth. But I know that he hears mine, and that's all that really matters when all is said and done.
