Musings

After a hectic work week, consisting of many people needing many things from Gayle, I enjoyed doing only those things I chose to do today. (When you live alone, you can get away with that.)

The day started out rainy, but by afternoon, it was a gorgeous day. I spent some time on the deck, soaking in some rays, counting blessings and saying prayers. Later, I washed a few clothes, ate some leftover pizza and played a new tune on the piano. How good God has been to me. Despite loss and heartache and situations I can’t control, he’s been so faithful. His grace has sustained me. His love has amazed me. His goodness and mercy are following me still.
As the sun made its westerly descent, I stepped outside and snapped this picture. The soft colors were spectacular to behold. The barren branches, reaching toward the sky, were spectacular, too. Everything is beautiful in its own way, you know. It just depends on your perspective.
I trust your day has been a good one. If something is weighing heavy on your heart, dear friend, may you find peace in knowing that your Creator is concerned with all that concerns you. He’s only a whisper away, and your load will feel lighter after you pray.
