Another spring break is almost gone. As a senior citizen, I avoid spring break getaways like the plague, but if you got away this week, I trust you made priceless memories. I made some priceless memories of my own at home with my 91-year-old mother.
Even though I was busy with work stuff, in between all that, she and I enjoyed talking, eating and playing dominoes. How blessed I am to still have her in my life. With every storm I encounter, she’s there with love, words of wisdom and prayers. I've learned firsthand that, as a mother of an adult child, that’s the best you can do sometimes. No matter how much you might want to, you can’t solve your child's problems, or make her dreams come true, or save her from heartache. All you can do is love her without conditions, offer words of wisdom, and cover her in prayer.
A blessed evening to you all, dear friends. Keep fighting the good fight and doing the right thing. God keeps good records.
