It was a memorable night, being inducted into the Vidor Walk of Fame. Having my mother and my two sisters and their spouses with me multiplied my joy immensely. My mother gave me life and her love throughout the years. My two sisters are, without any doubt, my biggest fans. My brothers-in-love are the best supporters anybody could ask for. Indeed, I am bountifully blessed and highly favored.
Of course, a huge thanks to my friend Donice Morace for his very unexpected nomination back in 2021. He showed such professionalism and competence throughout the entire process. Future nominees and inductees will be very fortunate to have Donice as an advocate. Donice, you rock!
I don’t know when my actual star will be placed on the sidewalk at Vidor City Hall, but whenever it is, it will truly feel like I’ve come full circle. Vidor is, indeed, where the music began for me when I was just a young girl. I'm forever grateful that God saw something in me he wanted to use and that I said, "Here am I, Lord. Send me."
