I stopped in at the arboretum on my way home from work today. It was a perfect evening for strolling, or sitting, or swinging, and I did a little of all three. Everywhere I looked, brilliant blooms were bursting forth in a dazzling array of colors.
To those who believe that such exquisiteness appears by sheer happenstance, I feel sorry for you. To me, each bloom shouted out, “Your Redeemer lives! Take heart! Nothing lasts forever!”
Indeed, it was a message my weary soul needed to hear, and as I walked to my car, I felt new hope rising within me and a deeper faith that nothing is impossible with God.
