DAYS OF MY LIFE: A Blessed Mother's Day

It was a blessed Mother’s Day with my only child, grandchild and son-in-law. I’m grateful.

Gayle: I am a follower of Jesus Christ. My faith, my loving family, and my friends keep me grounded when the storms of life rage. I enjoy music, writing and photography, and have been rewarded in all three. My music has been recorded by numerous artists and has appeared on "Southern Gospel's Top 40." In 2022, I was inducted into my hometown's "Walk of Fame." To God be the glory. In the early 90s, while living in the Dallas area, I received the "Golden Pen Award" from "The Dallas Morning News," which launched an era of op-ed writing for me that lasted a number of years. My by-line has also appeared in "Chicken Soup for the Soul" books, the "Ft. Worth Star-Telegram," "Houston Chronicle," "Beaumont Enterprise," "Houston Woman Magazine," and my story "Tears, Tantrums and Trust" was named an Honorable Mention in the Inspirational / Spiritual category for the 88th Writer’s Digest Writing Competition. My photography has been published in various periodicals and has brought me joy through the years.
